Stamatoula Matsoukis is the Director and Founder of Euclides Risk Solutions. She has long term experience and expertise in counterparty risk modelling and regulation, XVAs, model risk, and model governance gained from a senior positions in Risk Management, Front Office, and Audit functions within major financial institutions in the City of London. Stamatoula was former Head of Credit Risk Analytics and Exposure Measurement in different Banks and understands well the aspects of counterparty risk methodology and modelling across all asset classes, and the relevant model lifecycle. She has experience working as a counterparty credit risk specialist with the UK finance regulator and is familiar with the regulatory requirements and the issues the industry faces in counterparty risk space. Leadership roles across the different lines of defence have helped her to see the broader picture across the model areas and their governance and identify and resolve model related matters. Before joining the finance sector Stamatoula was a Research Scientist in Space Plasma Physics at Queen Mary & Westfield College, and holds a PhD in Computational Astrophysics from the University of Warwick.
